Haystack Mountain Furniture and Design

Haystack Mountain Furniture and Design is named for a small hill in Maine where I grew up. I started learning the craft with my dad who has been a professional woodworker for many years. From these early experiences, I have been inspired by time spent outside and by interacting with the the full lifecycle of the trees that I work with. I like to incorporate elements of nature into my work but am otherwise interested in combining simple and complex geometric shapes with tasteful ornamentation. As with many things in my life, I am motivated by a challenge and I am constantly thinking about new designs, complex joinery and how to make interesting objects that I have not seen before. If you have an idea for something, especially something unusual, I would be happy to chat and work with you on the design! I am currently located in Portland, OR so if you are also in the PNW I would be happy to deliver a piece, otherwise shipping is always an option.
